BANDIPORA, Mar 6: The 56 RCC Border Roads Organisation rescued a pregnant woman in distress from a remote LoC village in Gurez Bandipora cleared 10 km of road in an emergency to help them to reach hospital.
Speaking with the Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, residents expressed their gratitude to the BRO for their prompt and effective action in saving precious lives. “They have once again proved their commitment to saving lives in this snow bounded far flung valley”.
“The snow cutting machine clears 10 km of road which had been closed due to heavy snowfall saves precious life, helped doctors to save two lives, the patient namely Naseema Begum wife of Manzoor Ahmad lone of Hussangam village of Tulail had been rushed to nearby hospital after Beacon clears road in emergency,” Mohammad Niyaz a local resident said while talking to Kashmir Despatch.
The region is facing many challenges due to the heavy snow and harsh weather conditions, making it difficult for residents to access medical facilities, the locals said. Locals appreciated the efforts of BRO 56 RCC, for timely intervention in saving precious life in their village.
