Baramulla : Aarifeen School of Excellence (ASE) in Baramulla organized a day-long literary meet on Monday to remember and celebrate the renowned Urdu poet Mir Taqi Mir.
The event showcased the artistry and persona of Mir Taqi Mir from various perspectives, captivating the audience with insightful discussions.
Distinguished speakers shed light on various significant aspects of Mir Taqi Mir’s poetry, acquainting the attendees with his stature in the realm of literature.
The discourse also touched upon related sub-topics such as the influence of literature on society and the role of writers.
The first session of the event commenced with Shabir Ahmed Shabir, a prominent poet and writer from the valley, as the guest of honor.
Qazi Afroza Manzoor graced the presidency as a guest of honor.
Presiding over the first session was Asma Sadiq, Principal of Aarifeen School of Excellence. The panel of guest speakers included Muhammad Akram, Rameez Rashik, Abid Ahmed Dar, Zubair Ahmed Teli, and Peerzada Ashiq Hussain.
The meticulous organization of the event was overseen by Ashhar Ashraf, who executed his responsibilities commendably.
