ADG NCC Maj. Gen. Anupinder Bevli Inspires Cadets at GDC Kupwara

Honors 22 for Humanitarian Service

Kupwara : Government Degree College (GDC) Kupwara had the honor of hosting Major General Anupinder Bevli, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, during his official visit today.

The distinguished officer was warmly welcomed by the college Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Ab Rashid Malik, along with the Administrative Officer of 7 J&K Battalion, the College Staff Secretary, Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Iqbal Darzi, and NCC Officer Prof. Mohd Rafi Hajam.

The event, held in the college auditorium, began with a welcome address by the Principal, who extended a heartfelt greeting to the ADG and attendees. He provided an overview of the NCC activities conducted by the college unit and expressed gratitude to the Commanding Officer of 7 J&K Battalion for facilitating the program.

During his address, the ADG delivered an inspiring motivational talk to a gathering of college staff, NCC cadets from GDC Kupwara and nearby schools, and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) from 7 J&K Battalion. He emphasized the core values of leadership, service, and patriotism, urging cadets to pursue excellence in all endeavors.

A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of 22 Senior Division (SD) cadets from GDC Kupwara for their exemplary service on May 8. These cadets had assisted civilians relocating from border areas to Srinagar in collaboration with the District Administration, showcasing the true spirit of the NCC.

As a token of goodwill, the ADG presented a memento to the Principal, who reciprocated with a gesture of appreciation on behalf of the college administration.

Following the formal program, the ADG engaged in an informal interaction with ANOs and the Principal over tea in the college meeting hall, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening NCC initiatives in the region.

The visit marked a proud and motivating moment for GDC Kupwara, inspiring cadets and faculty to uphold the NCC’s mission with renewed dedication.
