Kupwara, July 10 :- Shri Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, today conducted an extensive visit to the IRP 4th Battalion Headquarters at Wayen, Kupwara. He was accompanied by Shri Junaid Mehmood, IPS, DIG IRP Kashmir, and Shri Munir Ahmad, SSP APCR Kashmir.
On his arrival, the ADGP was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by a smart contingent of the IRP 4th Battalion. He carried out a comprehensive inspection of the battalion campus, including the Battalion Kot, Mess, MT fleet, Equipment Store, and Main Office.
Interacting with officers and jawans, Sh. Jain presided over a Darbar where he patiently listened to their grievances and assured them of timely redressal of all genuine concerns.
Addressing the gathering, the ADGP stressed the importance of maintaining discipline, physical fitness, and professional conduct. He strongly urged personnel to refrain from drug use, avoid addiction to online gaming, and remain alert against rising incidents of cyber frauds targeting security personnel.
DIG Shri Junaid Mehmood also addressed the personnel, highlighting that welfare and duty must go hand-in-hand. He appreciated the battalion’s commitment and dedication in performing multifarious duties under challenging circumstances.
The ADGP further inspected the newly constructed infrastructure of the Border 2nd Battalion at Wayen, Kupwara. He reviewed the progress and quality of ongoing construction works and issued on-the-spot directions to ensure the timely completion of all pending projects. He also directed the Commandant of the Border Battalion to shift the unit’s office to the new premises.
Commending the officers and jawans for their dedication and professionalism, the ADGP lauded the efforts of the personnel deployed in the strategically significant border district of Kupwara.
