All J&K HDF employees demand Minimum Wages Act

Date:

Jammu, Feb 09 : Employees working under Hospital Development Fund in various government hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday demanded implementation of Minimum Wages Act.

Addressing a press conference under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Hospital Development Fund Employees Association, the employees said that hundreds of them are working in government hospitals across Jammu and Kashmir and are paid under Hospital Development Fund, which is generated through intra-institution services.

“We were also included in SRO-520 but are yet to get our right,” they said, adding that “we demand J&K Government to recognize our services as Corona Warriors and also to press out regularization and payment of wages under Minimum Wages Act.”—(KNO)
