SRINAGAR, Aug 21: Apni Party delegation headed by Party’s General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir along with Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi on Saturday visited the residence of former minister Mian Altaf at Baba Nagri in Ganderbal and expressed their profound solidarity with the bereaved family over the demise of his father and veteran Gujjar leader Mian Bashir Larvi.
In a statement issued here, Mir termed the demise of Mian Bashir Saheb as a huge loss for the people of J&K while asserting that his demise had left a huge void in the social fabric of the region.
“Mian Saheb was a well-known socio-religious leader whose legacy will continue to grow and shall be remembered for times to come. His teachings have always laid stress on sublime human values while cherishing the virtues of peace and harmony among the people of all faiths,” he said.
Mir said that Mian Saheb’s contribution especially in the upliftment of Gujjar-Bakarwal community is immense and has also shown that how a stalwart leaders unstinted efforts can change the condition of people at large,” he said.
Both the leaders prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family in this time of gloom.
During their visit, Apni Party District President Ganderbal Javid Mir also accompanied them.
