Machil, July 26: Army foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, killing one terrorist, sources said.
Official sources told Kashmir Despatch that “Alert troops foiled a BAT attack in Macchil sector, one terrorist was killed in the operation, however two soldiers were also injured.”
The operation in the area is ongoing, sources further added.
Pertinently, an unidentified terrorist and a soldier were killed in Kowut, Kupwara earlier this week.
The anti-militancy operation in the woods of Kupwara is underway.
