Srinagar: The army has requisitioned the Jammu and Kashmir Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department to sell 129 kanals of land to it in Pattan, north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, for accommodating soldiers.
In an official requisition letter addressed to J-K Animal and Sheep Husbandry, the army has asked if the department wishes to sell 129 kanals of land in Tapperewari village of Pattan, citing “some of its troopers are temporarily stationed there for some time now.”
The letter lies with Kashmir Despatch.
