ARTO Baramulla asks schools to dispatch buses to GDC Baramulla

Srinagar: 7 May , In a latest development, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Baramulla has ordered over half a dozen schools to dispatch their Buses to Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla.

As per the order issued by ARTO Baramulla, the schools were given a one hour deadline for compliance.

“The schools are advised to maintain close liaison with the district administration and ARTO Baramulla for further coordination,” the order reads.

In the order, the School heads have been also directed to provide the details of the dispatched vehicles along with the name and phone number of the driver to the ARTO office Baramulla (hqr Sopore).

“Any negligence shall be viewed seriously and non-compliance during this time will invite cancellation of registration of the vehicle without any further notice,” the order reads.

Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on Wednesday in a statement has said that in view of the prevailing situation all Schools, Colleges & educational institutions in Baramulla, Kupwara and Gurez will remain closed tomorrow on May 08.

The schools around Awantipora & Srinagar Airport shall also remain closed tomorrow. The directive is issued as precautionary measure.

Earlier, Kashmir University (KU) postponed all the exams scheduled up to May 10 of 2025 while Cluster University (CU) Srinagar has also postponed all its exams scheduled for May 8 of 2025.
