Baramulla all set for Good Governance Week & implementation of Mission YUVA: DC

Baramulla, December 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today briefed media persons in his office chamber about the district’s preparations for the “Good Governance Week” (December 19–24) and chaired a preparatory meeting at Dakbanglow Baramulla to finalize arrangements for two major initiatives—”Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore” and Mission YUVA Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan.

During the press briefing, the DC highlighted the week-long “Good Governance Week” initiative, which aims to bring administration closer to rural areas by organizing grievance redressal and service delivery camps in all 26 blocks of the district. Citizens are encouraged to attend these camps to address their concerns and benefit from various government services. Additionally, awareness campaigns will be conducted to inform the public about welfare schemes.

The DC further said that during the week all the grievances recieved through JK-IGRAMS, JK Samadhan and other public services demands would be resolved in a time bound manner.

Earlier, the DC chaired a preparatory meeting at Dakbanglow Baramulla with district and sectoral officers. The meeting finalized the implementation of “Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore,” focusing on transparent and accountable governance.

Discussions also covered Mission YUVA, a government initiative aimed at fostering sustainable employment opportunities in J&K by supporting the creation of new micro-enterprises, expanding existing businesses, and encouraging innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
Strategies for a baseline survey and training programs for Master Trainers and Supervisors were finalized to ensure the initiative’s success.

Minga Sherpa reiterated the administration’s commitment to bridging the gap between government institutions and the public, urging media cooperation in raising awareness about these transformative initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina, ADC Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, Assistant Commissioner Development, Shabir Ahmad Hakak, CPO, Javaid Ahmad , Block Development Officers, and various departmental heads.
