BANDIPORA, Sept 09: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bandipora candidate and district president, Naseer Lone, made strong remarks on Monday against the mainstream political parties of Jammu and Kashmir, accusing them of exploiting the people of Kashmir for their own gains. Lone stated that the people of the Valley are now content with the BJP’s governance.
Speaking to the media at the BJP office in Bandipora, Lone emphasized that since the BJP came to power, it has effectively controlled the Kashmir Valley, leading to a significant decrease in violence. “There are no longer incidents of stone-pelting or civilian killings,” Lone claimed, suggesting that the BJP’s rule has brought stability to the region.
“We hope that the people will choose us based on the work we have done since 2014 in the Valley,” he said confidently.
Lone further asserted that any party winning in the Kashmir Valley would eventually have to ally with the BJP, urging voters to support his party directly rather than through other political groups.
“We are strong in Bandipora, and our cadre will give tough competition to the NC, PDP, and other candidates,” Lone declared. He also made a bold promise: “If I lose from the Bandipora constituency, I will resign from the party.”
Lone’s statements reflect the BJP’s increasing confidence in the region as they gear up for upcoming elections.
