Boat Capsizes in Srinagar:Two more declared dead toll 6

Srinagar, April 16 : In a tragedy, two more persons have been declared dead taking the toll to 6 after a boat capsized in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday morning.

A top police officer told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll that a boat drowned along with some people who were crossing the river Jehlum from Gandbal to Batwara in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

However, with the swift action of river police, all were rescued and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, an official informed news agency Kashmir Scroll that total six persons lost their lives in the mishap how’ver others are being undergoing treatment.

A top police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
