Boycott tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and Chinese goods: Shiv Sena leader

Date:

Reacting to the Pulwama attack in which 49 CRPF personnel were killed, Shiv Sena leader wants people from the parts of India to boycott tourism in Jammu and Kashmir for two years.

According to the Shiv Sena legislator and spokesperson Manisha Kayende, “Boycoting Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir would hurt the economic resources of the northern state where youth and children pelt stones on security forces,”

In a statement issued on Saturday, she said, “The need of the hour is to counter the mentality of keeping the state on tenterhooks by targeting Indian Jawans.”

Noting that Jammu and Kashmir being a beautiful state, which attracts visitors from across the globe,  Kayande said, “Tourism benefits the local people. If these resources earned are used against the country and the security forces, Indians should boycott tourism in the state for next two years.”

“Locals pelt stones on forces to help the militants get away, Whenever there is an encounter between militants and security agencies,” she claimed.

The Sena leader has also demanded boycott to all Chinese goods, saying that country was supportive of Pakistan, which has been instigating trouble in India. (with PTI inputs)
