Burglary case solved in Baramulla, two arrested: Police

Baramulla : Police on Saturday claimed to have solved another burglary case by arresting two accused in North Kashmir’s Baramulla village.

Police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said, On 1st June, 2023 Police Post Wagoora received a complaint from one Abdul Majeed Reshi S/O Asadullah Reshi R/O Kalantra Payeen Wagoora stating therein that he is running a JK Bank Khidmat Centre and during day day he had gone for lunch and some unknown burglars barged into his shop and stole cash amounting to Rs 97000/-

To this effect Police Station Kreeri registered Case FIR under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, namely Ghulam Mustafa Sofi S/O Mohd Ibrahim Sofi & Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/O Assadullah Bhat both resident of Diver Yakhmanpora Pattan were identified and were called for questioning.

After thorough interrogation they confessed that they have committed theft and upon their disclosure, stolen cash was recovered from their possession and were taken into custody immediately.
