Srinagar, Feb.14:- The Central Adminstrative Tribunal (CAT) Srinagar has stayed the final seniority list of forest guards issued by Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir vide order dated 18/12/2021. Learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that the Seniority list has been finalised vide an impunged order in which seniority of Forest Guards is fixed below those who are appointed after a gap of many months. Even those operated in Waiting list are put senior to those appointed vide initial appointment order and having a gap of even a year in-between.
CAT has directed CCF Kashmir not to give effect to the Final Seniority and has further directed CCF Kashmir to consider the representation of the applicant in accordance with law. It further directed CCF, Kashmir to communicate the decision to the applicant within four weeks of time w.e.f. today. The CAT has fixed the next date of hearing and has listed the matter on 8th of April 2022.
Meanwhile, the aggrieved Forest Guards have expressed sigh of relief due to this order and extend their gratitude to the CAT. They hope that genuineness would be adopted while framing the said final seniority list.
