Centre withdraws 10 CAPF companies from Jammu

Srinagar, May 16 : The Union Home Ministry on Saturday ordered withdrawal of 10 CAPF companies from Jammu and Kashmir who were deployed here for law and order duties after the abrogation of Article 370.

In an order copy which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, it is intimate that the deployment of CAPFs in Jammu and Kashmir has further been reviewed in the Ministry. It has been decided to withdraw 10 coys of CAPF (CRPF-02, CISF-03, ITBP-03 & SSB-02)deployed for law & order duties with immediate effect from Jammu & Kashmir.

Among these ten, three companies belong to the CISF and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police each, while two each are from the CRPF and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), as per an order issued by the Union Home Ministry.
