COVID-19 : J&K Government declare Sixteen Services Essential

Sringar Mar 22 : In view of the situation arising in view of COVID-19, The Department of Food Civil Supplies, and consumer affairs had issued a notification under order number 60-FCS&CA – 2020 under the subject essential services and commodities, had declared sixteen Services as essential the official notification reads, Copy of which is in possession with this newspaper.

Meanwhile the essential services which had been notified are Banks, ATM’s, Petrol Pumps, Pharamcutical stores, Newspapers, Diary stores, Grocery stores, post offices, LPG Services, Telecom, Health Care, Cattle feed stores.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration in a meeting with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir here at Sringar had decided to continue the restrictions till March 31, in view of pendiuem COVID-19. However, the restrictions were put in place across Kashmir valley today as a part of Prime Ministers appeal to observe “Janta Curfew”, even as there was complete lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus in Kashmir Division.
