CRPF’s Skill Drive Empowers 25 Budgam Youth with Computer Training

BUDGAM, June 4: In a significant initiative aimed at empowering unemployed youth, the 35th Battalion of CRPF on Wednesday organized a closing ceremony for the Basic Computer Course program at Soibug, District Budgam. The event marked the successful completion of a 30-day skill development course designed to boost employability and self-reliance among local youth.

The program, launched on April 15, 2025, was a collaborative effort between the CRPF and the skill development committee of M/s Wyath Services Private Limited. A total of 25 unemployed local youth were selected for the intensive training, which included theory classes, practical sessions, and on-the-job learning in basic computer skills.

Sh. Vishnu Dwivedi, Commandant of the 35th Battalion CRPF, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of such training initiatives in empowering local youth and preparing them for employment opportunities. “This program not only enhances skill sets but also instills confidence for self-reliance,” he said.

He extended gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the 35th Battalion for funding and implementing the training. He also appreciated the role played by Wyath Services Private Limited in executing the course effectively. “These efforts are crucial in nurturing self-employment and supporting the future ambitions of our youth,” he added.

All 25 participants who completed the training were awarded certificates. The newly certified youth expressed heartfelt thanks to the CRPF for giving them a valuable opportunity that could pave the way for both self-employment and employment in various sectors.

The event concluded with a group photograph of the participants and dignitaries, commemorating the successful culmination of the program. The initiative has been widely appreciated as a benchmark step in promoting grassroots-level skill development and employment generation in the region.
