Cyber cell unit of Samba police refunds Rs 74196 to CISF Jawan

Jammu, Jun 28 :The district police Samba has solved an online fraud case and has refunded the amount of Rs 74196 to one CISF Jawan belonging to the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the complainant Hari Om, son of Natho Singh, a resident of Bharatpur Rajasthan, at present CISF company at district police line Samba, had submitted a written application with Samba police.

The complainant had cheated him by installing a third-party mobile app. i.e Flipkart via phishing link.

Giving details, PRO Jammu zone police said that the team of Cybercrime Investigation Unit under DySP headquarters Samba headed by Inspector rank officer displayed relentless efforts and advanced technical skills, leading to the successful refunding all the defrauded amount of Rs 74196/- to the complainant. Further investigation is going on.

“It is pertinent to mention here that a total defrauded amount of rupees four lakh eighty four thousand one hundred six (4,84,106/-) has been refunded/liened by the Cybercrime Investigation Unit Samba since its inception,” the PRO said—(KNO)
