Srinagar Apr, 20 : General officer Commanding of Srinagar based 15 corps, D P Pandey on Wednesday visited District Hospital Shopian to thank medicos for their role in treatment of injured soldiers.
An official said, that Pandey visited DH Shopian & appreciated medicos and public of Shopian for their efforts to save the lives of soldiers of 44 RR Unit, who were injured in a road accident.
Furthermore, he said that the security arrangement for the Amarnath Yatra has been beefed up and they will ensure that there will be no threat to Amarnath pilgrims.
Notably, army sumo met with an accident a week ago at Shopian near Kanipora when the team was rushing towards an encounter site, in which three soldiers died while others were injured. (KNS)
