Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party has registered the first win in Kashmir in the District Development Council (DDC) elections reported The Kashmirwalla.
Ajaz Hussain, who is the BJP’s National Vice President and Incharge West Bengal BJP Youth Wing, has won a seat from Srinagar’s Khanmoh-2 in the DDC polls.
As per the latest figures available, out of 197 seats in J-K, the Alliance has won three seats while BJP won one seat so far. The Alliance is leading on 76 seats, with the BJP leading on 50 seats. The independent candidates have won 7 seats while they are leading on 33 seats.
