DEO B’la reviews Special Summary Revision process; pulls up poor performing officials

No eligible Voter to be left behind: reiterates Dr Sehrish

Baramulla Oct 21 : The District Election Officer (DEO) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting of the EROs, AEROs and BLOs to review the progress of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls at the both levels.

It was informed that apart from EROs and AEROs, 893 Booth Level Officers, supervised by 90 supervisors are actively involved in the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to October 1st, 2022 as qualifying date. The Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls shall continue till October 25, 2022.

The DEO pulled up 189 BLOs for below 8% performance and asked them to complete the task before the last date by going door to door for filling form 6, 6B, 7 and 8. “Special summary Revision is crucial for inclusion of new eligible voters to ensure they participate in the largest democratic process in choosing their choicest representatives” she said.

The DEO directed the concerned to monitor the progress of all the BLOs on a daily basis and take strict action against the poor performing officials.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Yaar Ali Khan; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad; Dy District Election Officer, Ab Rehman Bhat; EROs, AEROs, NT,Supervisors and BLOs attended the meeting.
