DIET Sgr holds 2-day workshop on efficient resourcing and effective governance

SRINAGAR, Mar 4: District Institute of Educational Training (DIET) Srinagar in collaboration with SLA SCERT organised a two day workshop on efficient resourcing and effective governance in newly formed clusters held at DIET Srinagar on March 1-2.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch, Ms Nusrat Gilani (Senior Academic officer DIET Srinagar) welcomed all Principals (Cluster Heads) in inaugural session of two day workshop.

She highlighted the significance of two day workshop against the backdrop of theme of the workshop by spotlighting underlying purpose of the workshop. Principal DIET Mtr. Tahira Hilali inaugurated the workshop with a request to all HOIs to be an active participant and to make this workshop a successful exercise and to work for betterment of their respective clusters through efficient resourcing and effective governance.

The main objectives of the workshop are:

Dr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat Nodal officer SLA/SCERT(JK UT) introduced the aforethought on PSLM (Programme on School Leadership and Management) course to school heads and to develop school as a learning organization and to introduce key module for developing self and leading school administration for achieving  Learning outcomes with hand on practice on Jeohari window and Eisenhower Matrix (Time  Grid) .

Sheikh Sameer Ahmad, Key Resource Person, SLA /SCERT JK (UT) deliberated on the importance of understanding  the tools and techniques of efficient resourcing through hands on practice with latest managerial tools and techniques like SWOC/measure concerned template and suggestive framework of school /Complex development plan of NCSL(National Center For School leadership New Delhi.

Fida Gulzar Ahmad Anchor and DLRP /SLA SCERT acquainted them with idea of understanding of tools and techniques of efficient resourcing and good governance with special emphasis on human and physical resource management in consonance with Govt order no. 2173 -JK EDU of 2022 with hands on activities on issues and challenges for framing complex development plan in accordance with NEP 2020.

Mir Masood Ali Senior Academic Officer SLA /SCERT) threw light on improving  learning and learning outcomes and to understand extent of learning crises in JK (UT) and setting orchestration for student learning through an annual pedagogical leadership framework.. Ms Rafiqa Qureshi HOD planning and management coordinated the workshop with appreciation note for active participation of HOIs.

Ms Tahira Hilali Principal DIET in her conclusive remark  addressed Principals of Higher secondary Schools that formation of Clusters or Complexes is an opportunity for us to transform the schools as per NEP 2020 to make schools a better place for students in terms of infrastructure, learning, ICT facility, a joyful activities etc. She addressed that school leaders need to lead by influence and think systematically as per timely instructions of government and form teams and collaborate with all stake holders especially a society. She concluded the workshop with vote of thanks.

Syed Hamid Bukhari (RP/Tech Head SLA/SCERT) in his remarks underscore the purpose of creating clusters which would help HOIs to effectively deal with human resources management crises by inclusive leadership approach and stressed for service leadership model.  Ms Rehana Kounsar Technical Head SLA SCERT provided media support for the workshop.
