Baramulla, June 10 : Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir Range, Shri Maqsoodul Zaman (IPS) convened a critical security coordination and pre-Yatra strategy meeting co-chaired by DIG NKOR (CRPF) Shri R.S. Rawat at District Police Lines (DPL), Baramulla. The meeting was attended by all District Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and Commanding Officers (COs) of the CRPF from the North Kashmir Range.
In light of the sensitive security environment following a recent incident in Pahalgam, the attendees discussed the need for a robust multi-layered defense strategy for the overall security situation, particularly concerning the Yatra scheduled from July 3 to August 9.
DIG NKR Shri Maqsoodul Zaman (IPS) emphasized the importance of coordinated action across agencies to monitor sensitive zones, enhance real-time intelligence sharing, and maintain full operational readiness. He commended the professionalism and proactive stance of all participating forces and provided guidance on finalizing the coordinated deployment of Jammu & Kashmir Police and CRPF to ensure the safety and sanctity of the pilgrimage.
The meeting concluded with a resolute reaffirmation of the collective dedication to uphold the highest standards of security, both generally across the region and specifically during the upcoming Yatra.
