Driving Skill Tests Cancelled in Srinagar from March 26 to April 4 Due to Tree Cutting Work

Date:

Srinagar, March 25: The Office of the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir has announced the cancellation of all scheduled driving skill tests from March 26 to April 4, 2025, due to ongoing tree cutting work at the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) workshop premises in Srinagar.

In a public notice issued today, the RTO Kashmir stated that the tree cutting work has rendered the testing site temporarily unsuitable for conducting driving skill tests in Srinagar. The notice further assured applicants that a revised schedule for the cancelled tests will be communicated via SMS to their registered phone numbers in due course.

The decision comes following a reference from the JKRTC (Ref: JKRTC/GM/ETS/Sgr/770 Dated 24.03.2025), highlighting the need to suspend testing until the area is safe for such activities.

Applicants of district Srinagar are advised to remain alert for further updates and notifications from the RTO regarding rescheduled test dates.
