Attends District Level Guidance and Counselling Session at GHSS Sogam, plantation drive at HSS Behnipora
SRINAGAR, APRIL 16: Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G. N. Itoo today conducted an extensive tour of District Kupwara, visiting many schools and taking stock of the facilities available in these institutions.
During the tour, the Director also participated in a comprehensive district-level Guidance and Counselling session held at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Sogam, witnessing the active participation of various stakeholders from the education sector of district Kupwara.
Director spent the day interacting with Public Representatives, Principals, Zonal Education Officers, Teachers, Zonal Coordinators, and most importantly, the students of the district. He lauded the efforts of Chief Education Officer Kupwara and his dedicated team for organizing such vibrant and impactful counseling sessions in the district.
Dr. Itoo emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the future of students and guiding them towards meaningful career paths. Joint Director North Kashmir, Hakeem Tanveer also addressed the gathering.
Deputy Chairman DDC Council, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, and DDC Sogam, Nasir Lone, highlighted the consistent efforts of the education department under the present leadership. They emphasized the significance of such sessions in guiding students and building a progressive academic atmosphere in future.
Mohammad Iqbal Shah, DEPO Kupwara conducted a detailed session on Emotional Intelligence and Career Exploration. The second session was conducted by Mohammad Abbas Gojri, Teacher at UPS Machipora, who enlightened the students about various Career Options and Pathways to Possibilities.
Earlier, CEO Kupwara, Mehraj ud din Shah presented a comprehensive overview of the ongoing initiatives and progress made by the education department at the district level.
Prior to the main event, the Director visited BHSS Unisoo during the morning assembly and stressed the principal and staff for ensuring excellent enrolment and attendance besides the moral education.
On the sidelines of the event, the Academic Calendar of GHSS Sogam was unveiled in the presence of Director School Education Kashmir. The event also included a session for officers of the department, staff members of GHSS and BHSS Sogam, as well as zonal coordinators, focusing on strengthening the academic framework and enhancing collaborative efforts.
Apart from this, DSEK also participated in a plantation drive held at HSS Behnipora which falls in Zone Rajwar. The event was attended by officers, teachers and students in large numbers.
