Eight erring traders booked in Bandipora

Srinagar: The Legal Metrology Department Bandipora has booked eight traders for violations of different provisions of legal metrology.
The spokesman said that violators were imposed a fine of Rs 3700 by an LMD team during market inspection drive to ensure compliance of government orders regarding the sale of petroleum products, LPG, mutton, poultry, vegetable and fruits.
The inspection teams asked the traders to ensure strict adherence to approved legal metrology rules.
Meanwhile, Assistant Controller LMD Bandipora said the inspection found the stock position of petroleum (fuel) and LPG satisfactory. He said all the pump dealers are adhering to rationing instructions passed in the wake of Jammu-Srinagar highway closure.
