Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam: Plantation Drive held at STC Sheeri Honoring Martyrs

Baramulla, August 08: In a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s heroes, the JV Forest Division Baramulla organized a plantation drive at STC Sheeri under the initiative “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam.” This event was held to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Deputy Inspector General of Police ,Vivek Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Minga Sherpa, Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla , Amod Ashok Nagpure. The families of martyrs also attended the event.

Together, the officers and families of the martyrs came together to plant saplings in a warm gesture that paid the highest respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country. This symbolic act not only honored the memory of the fallen heroes but also represented a lasting tribute to their bravery and selflessness.

Meanwhile, the dignitaries paid tribute to the martyrs by honoring their families, acknowledging the ultimate sacrifice made for the nation’s honor.

Speaking during the drive, the DC emphasized that ‘Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam’ campaign is a testament of administration’s commitment to commemorating the brave souls who gave their lives in service of the nation.

Minga Sherpa further said that by planting trees in their honor, we ensure that their legacy lives on, serving as a constant reminder of the sacrifices made for the greater good of our country.
