Baramulla, Oct 21 : Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Elections, Javid Ahmad Dar, stated that the elected government will perform better in the future.

Speaking to Kashmir Despatch during his madian visit to his hometown Baramulla after the ministery post, stated that for the past five years, the people have faced various issues due to the absence of a local government. He expressed confidence that in due time, all these issues will be addressed.

He mentioned, “Whatever is outlined in the party’s manifesto will gradually come to fruition for the welfare of the people; however, it will take some time.”

Dar emphasized that it is a priority to meet the expectations of the people who have been dealing with numerous challenges for years.

He stated that there are various schemes for the agricultural sector that offer substantial benefits, but many of these have not reached the people. He assured that they will investigate the reasons behind this and described it as a revolutionary step that will greatly benefit rural areas, ultimately enhancing the economy.

He discussed the need to crack down on substandard pesticides available in the market, which have been a common complaint among the populace, and announced that enforcement teams will be strengthened to eliminate such harmful products.

Notably, in the recent assembly elections held in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, after a long hiatus of 10 years, Javid Dar made a significant comeback, winning from the Rafiabad constituency by a substantial margin of 9,202 votes, defeating the Apni Party candidate, Yawar Mir.
