Forces on Wednesday late evening launched a cordon-and-search operation at Kunchipora area of Kunzar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a joint team of army’s 2 RR, and special operation group of police (SOG) laid a siege at Kunchipora village of Kunzar.
Local reports said, forces have installed the lights in the area and conducted door to door search operation.
A senior Police official also confirmed this search operation to Kashnir Despatch and said the cordon was launched following inputs about the movement of some suspected militants.
Searches in the area was underway when filled this report.
