Forces launch nocturnal CASO in Kupwara village

Government forces on Wednesday night launched a cordon-and-search operation at Lalpora Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 28 RR, CRPF, and SOG laid a siege at Lalpora village in Lolab late today evening.

A police officer also confirmed the incident to Kashmir Despatch and said that the cordon was launched following inputs about the movement of some suspected militants. He said that as of now no contact with militants has been established.
