Four More Covid Deaths in J&K

Date:

The medical virologists in India have predicted that the new variant Omicron is not going to cause much havoc as its predecessor Delta Variant had done in April-May. But this doesn’t imply that the pandemic is over and normalcy has returned.

In the African continent, this new virus mutant is creating much devastation as a large number of deaths are being reported from different countries on a daily basis. Europe has almost banned all passenger airlines with the affected African countries and ramped up medical scrutiny on its airports just to avoid viral intrusion.

But in India, we have already been reporting these new variant cases that unfortunately are spiking up with every passing day. Though there exists no proof for high mortality rates in this new mutant, the transmission level is extremely contagious.

With less transmission rates, there exists an ample chance to break the chain and effectively test and treat those who got infected. However, Omicron is very contagious which implies that it can easily pass on to those who may be suffering from other medical preconditions that makes them susceptible to fall seriously ill due to the infection.

The vaccination does provide a shield against the Covid-19 virus but getting jabbed is still facing reluctance which empowers this novel strain to cause more damage.

While the people remain busy in their routine lives, four more people have died in J&K today which should raise alarms and discipline us to observe Covid-19 appropriate behavior in order to disallow the situation from getting worse. The choice is solely ours.
