Sopore, July 28: In a shocking incident, four relatives lost their lives on Monday in a mysterious blast in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that the incident happened when a scrap dealer was unloading material from a truck at Sher colony, Sopore.
In the incident, four youths, all belonging to one family, were critically injured and were immediately taken to the sub-district hospital, where three of them were declared brought dead on arrival. The fourth person was referred to a Srinagar medical institution, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A doctor at the sub-district hospital confirmed to Kashmir Despatch that the deceased have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Nadroo (34), Aazim Ashraf Mir, son of Mohd Ashraf Mir (19), Aadil Rashid Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat (21), and Azar Din Fafoo, Gh Mohamad Farooq (21), all residents of Sher Colony, Sopore.
SP Sopore Divya-D told Kashmir Despatch that as per preliminary investigation, the incident happened when a scrap dealer was unloading material from a truck. She further said that an investigation has been set into motion.
