Srinagar, July 11: The government on Saturday constituted divisional level committees in Jammu and Kashmir to monitor and examine the service matters of the School Education Department at higher secondary level. The committees have been directed to examine various issues of higher secondary level.
An order issued by the Secretary to the Government for School Education Department, a copy of which lies with the news agency— reads that the committees will examine the removal of anomaly and restoration of non-vacation status of principals of higher secondary level.
Transfer policy review, time bound promotion, Assured Career Progression (ACP) of lectures at higher secondary level and notion effect in departmental promotion committee meetings are other objectives of the committees to examine.
The government has also asked the divisional level committees to examine the restoration of 40 per cent (In-service quota) in higher education for lecturers of higher secondary level and placement of lecturers as senior lecturers. The committees have also been directed to submit their recommendations within the period of fifteen days.
According to the order, the divisional committees will be headed by the Directors of School Education department of Jammu and Kashmir regions, who have been nominated as the Chairperson of the committee in their respective regions.
Likewise, the State Project Director (SPD) Samagra Shiksha has been appointed as member of the committees from both regions.
From Jammu division, Principal State Institute of Education (SIE) Jammu and Chief Accounts Officer Jammu will also be the members of the committee.
Similarly, from Kashmir division, Chief Accounts Officer and Nodal Officer of School Education Department will also be the members of the committee—(KNO)
