Had Cordial Meeting with CM Omar, Committed to Work with Elected Govt: Amit Shah

Srinagar, April 10 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that his recent meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was cordial and centered around development and governance.

Speaking at the Rising Bharat Summit 2025 hosted by CNN-News18, Shah said, “My recent meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was cordial and focused on development and governance.”
He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to supporting all regional governments. “We have always supported regional governments equally, without any bias,” he stated.


On the issue of security, Shah issued a stern warning: “We will not let anyone conspire to spread terror in J&K. If anyone tries such things, they will be punished.” He added that national security remains a top priority for the government.(KNS)
