Have adopted SWS to facilitate film shootings in J&K: Director Information

SRINAGAR, May 24: Director Information and Public Relations, Minga Sherpa has said that Jammu and Kashmir administration has adopted a Single Window System (SWS) to facilitate film shootings in the Union Territory.

Speaking at the 3rd G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting in Srinagar on Tuesday, he said that from permissions required to giving subsidies, the administration has adopted single window system to facilitate film shootings.

He said that as per the J&K Industrial Policy 2021, film sector has been given the status of industry as policy support in which film makers can avail subsidy.

“We have exquisite locations and offbeat destinations for film shootings. Recently we have announced a list of 300 destinations for film shootings in J&K,” he said.

He said that Jammu Kashmir as a location needs no introduction, as it is occupied with pristine lakes, incredible natural beauty and landscape. “It has been a well known location for film shooting in past as well,” he said.
