Home Voting Begins for 3rd phase of assembly elections in Bandipora

Bandipora, Sep 24: The home voting for the third phase of assembly elections via postal ballots begins from today for the third phase of assembly elections for senior and PWD citizens across Bandipora district of North Kashmir.

The teams were flagged off today by District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Qadri today from district headquarters for various areas of the district.

“I am a physically disabled i can not got to the polling stations to cast my vote, this is my second vote at my home for which is thankful to government for providing us these facilities at doorstep,” Manzoor Ahmad, a resident of Quilmuqam Bandipora told Kashmir Despatch.

Another senior citizen emphasized the importance of their votes and says every single vote matters. She is thankful for the government for providing them the opportunity to cast their votes in their homes.

She also said that everybody should take part in this process and choose their representatives.

“41 teams have been flagged off today for this process. It will continue for three days in the district in which these teams will go to the door steps of the senior citizens with ballot boxes to collect their votes. The district has 504 senior citizen votes who will avail benefits of this home voting,” DEO Bandipora Manzoor Qadri said.
