Anantnag, Sep 13: The Parliamentarian from North Kashmir and Awami Itehad Party (AIP) chief, Shiekh Rashid, popularly known as Er Rashid, on Friday said that “if speaking the truth is separatism, then we are proud of being separatists.”
Speaking to the media as per Kashmir Despatch, Er Rashid, responding to allegations of getting separatist votes in the previous Lok Sabha elections, said “Delhi should think that if Er Rashid has the support of separatist votes, then there is no one with India here, so we are proud of the separatists.”
When asked why he focused on the South Kashmir elections, he said “South is my life, South is my heart, I would sacrifice my life for the South, I have faced the most hardships in the South.”
He further said, “My roadmap is in front of you all, not through the winds, not through verbal talks, not through written manifestos, but through sacrifices the issues will be resolved.”
He also responded to Omar Abdullah’s statement and said, “First, he should learn Kashmiri, then we’ll see.”
He added that Omar Abdullah has to give them a proper roadmap on how to get back Article 370. Then, he said, he is ready to support him and accept him.
