New Delhi, May 7 :- In a strong response to the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, including 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national, the Indian armed forces launched precision strikes on multiple terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence at 1:44 AM on Tuesday, Indian forces successfully targeted and neutralized nine terror camps located in Pakistan. The strikes are being described as a “measured and strategic” military response to the April 22 attack that shocked the nation.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, addressing the media on Tuesday morning, emphasized the need for a global “zero tolerance” policy against terrorism. “India has acted in defense of its people and sovereignty. The world must now move toward a zero-policy approach when it comes to terrorism. There can be no justification, no safe havens,” he said.
The Pahalgam attack, which took place in Jammu and Kashmir, is believed to have been orchestrated by Pakistan-based terror groups, though an official attribution has yet to be made public.
