Indo-Pak armies exchange fire across LoC in Uri

Srinagar, April 27 : Indo-Pak armies Monday evening exchanged heavy gunfire across the Line of Control in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.


Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said “Heavy shelling is going on in at Tujawari Chundra Silikote in Uri sector.


An official told this newspaper, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and intense mortar shelling along Line of Control in Chundra Silikote in Uri sector.“The Indian army is retaliating befittingly,” he added.

Firing in the area was on when last reports came in.
