Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LOC in Uri

Baramulla, June 20 : The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire this afternoon along the Line of Control (LoC) in Hajipeer sector in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials told Kashmir Despatch that Pakistani rangers resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Hajipeer Sector and targeted forward posts of the Indian Army with Mortars and other weapons.


A police officer also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch this cross border shelling and said firing from both sides is on, He however said that no loss of life or injury reported so far.

Pertinently, last week a woman was killed and two civilians were injured in cross border shelling in Hajipeer Sector of Uri.
