Visits Uri, Interacts with Soldiers, Meets Injured Residents

Uri, May 09: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, stated on Friday that those who have harmed Indian citizens will be dealt with firmly.
During his visit to Baramulla, as per Kashmir Despatch, where he met soldiers, the Lieutenant Governor praised their courage and resolve. “It is a proud privilege to be among the bravest of the brave. They have one dream—to destroy the enemy’s ability to harm India and to protect our sovereignty,” he said.
He added that the entire nation draws inspiration from the bravery of the armed forces and prayed for their strength to defeat those who threaten India. “May Prabhu Shri Ram give you the strength to decimate the enemy. Jai Hind!” he exclaimed.
“I see determination in your eyes, and I want to assure the people across the country that they are in safe hands. The entire nation is drawing inspiration from your valour. May Prabhu Shri Ram give you the strength to decimate the enemy,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He emphasized that the nation, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has vowed to neutralize terrorists. “My message is clear—if you harm any Indian citizen, we will hunt you down,” he declared.
The Lieutenant Governor said, “Peace is the foundation of prosperity, and our men in uniform will ensure that Jammu, Kashmir, and Bharat remain peaceful and prosperous.”
He further stated that the nation has always been proud of its armed forces, noting that whenever the country has faced crises, soldiers have upheld the pride of Mother India through their supreme sacrifices.
“Your history is filled with valour and courage. India has always advocated for peace. However, after the brutal massacre of our citizens in Pahalgam, the primary objective was to destroy terrorist hideouts. ‘Operation Sindoor’ avenged the Pahalgam terror attack by dismantling terror factories inside Pakistan. Yet, the enemy continues to target our military establishments and civilians. We are giving them a befitting reply,” the Lieutenant Governor told the soldiers.
He added that due to the courage and determination of the soldiers, Jammu, Kashmir, and the entire country can sleep peacefully.
“If anyone tries to disturb our peace repeatedly, they will be taught such a lesson that their next ten generations will remember it. All 140 crore Indians stand firmly with our soldiers. I pray to God to grant you strength so that you may once again script the saga of India’s bravery,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
Earlier in the day, LG Sinha met with the injured residents of Uri at GMC Baramulla and prayed for their quick recovery. The nation stands wholeheartedly behind the affected families in every way possible. I have directed officials to provide the best possible treatment and care. We will avenge their suffering by defeating the enemy.
