Srinagar, Aug. 01 : Amid the changing circumstances, Kashmir’s relationship with Bollywood has resurfaced, and to strengthen it further, Kashmir is organizing its first-ever film festival this year.
Secretary Information Rehana Batul (IAS) made this announcement on the occasion of the J&K Film Conclave at SKICC as per Kashmir Despatch, said that this year, Kashmir will host its first-ever film festival.
Notably, the Jammu and Kashmir administration organized the J&K Film Conclave, a milestone event in the cultural renaissance of the region.
On the occasion, LG Manoj Sinha launched a Single Window Portal for Film Shooting and Subsidies.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that this initiative promises to simplify the bureaucratic process for filmmakers and provide substantial subsidies, making it easier for them to shoot their films in the region. This is expected to attract a wave of domestic and international filmmakers, boosting the local economy while showcasing the beauty and cultural richness of Jammu and Kashmir to a global audience.
