Sopore, Sep 11: Independent candidate Aarti, a Kashmiri Pandit, who is fighting the assembly election on the Sopore seat, promised to change the perception of Kashmiris being associated with terrorism.
Talking Exclusively with Kashmir Despatch after filing the nomination form, Aarti Nehru said that the past years of turmoil in Kashmir needs to be ended, and the peace and brotherhood needs to be restored in Kashmir. She also said that the perception of Kashmiris being associated with terrorism needs to be changed.
Aarti Nehru further said that her expectations are from the people that they come out of their homes and cast their votes, so that the prosperity can be restored.
Aarti said that all Kashmiris, Pandits, and people from all religions should come out and choose the right candidate in this assembly election who can truly meet the expectations of the people.
Aarti is the first Kashmiri Pandit fighting this assembly election on the Sopore seat among around 30 candidates who are in the fray.
