Many leaders from various political parties meet Beigh

Date:

Urge him to pull out JK from quagmire, assure support

Jammu : As the political uncertainty begins to fade away in the Jammu and Kashmir with speculations rife about Center bringing an interim political arrangement in place in the newly carved out Union Territory , many local political heavyweights have expressed their readiness to support the move and join the camp.

Sources privy to the developments told news agency that nearly half a dozen political leaders including former Minsters and legislators from National Confernce, PDP, Congress and other parties held many rounds of secrete discussions with PDP Patron and former Deputy chief Minster Muzaffer Hussain Beigh in Jammu on the prevailing political scenario and expressed confidence on the initiatives taken by him.

A senior leader who met Mr. Beigh told news agency on the condition of anonymity that he and many others were willing to walk over to his ( Beigh’s) camp in the Coming days.

He said the purpose of the meeting with him was to understand the role of the former Deputy chief Minster in the current political initiatives, so that he and many others would be able to make up their mind regarding joining the chorus.

Meanwhile many other political leaders, businessmen , lawyers and people associated with other walks of life have met Beigh urging him to take initiatives in bringing political stability in the UT.

Sources told they assured full support to Beigh and said their support was always for Mr. Beigh and his team.

They stressed that supporting Beigh would be akin to supporting an ” idea” rather than an ” individual” aiming to bring J&K again on the track of prosperity and stability reported news agency RNA.
