BARAMULLA, Mar 10: Residents in north Kashmir’s Baramulla can now report issues and file grievances online through a newly launched website by the Municipal Council.
President Touseef Raina announced the website’s launch, emphasizing the importance of going digital for the betterment of the town and its residents. The website aims to provide transparency in governance by allowing residents to register complaints and track their status online.
The move has been hailed by the town’s youth, who have been demanding an online grievance redressal mechanism for a long time. Touseef talking to Kashmir Despatch assured residents that a team from the Municipal Council would address their complaints promptly, and urged them to make the most of the digital platform.
He said from the marriage hall, dustbins and any other services, people can book online from the website www.mcbaramulla.in when they need. Touseef stated that people should get every kind of benefit from all the government schemes and should also have knowledge of all the developmental works.
He said this website will allow citizens to raise corruption complaints digitally if they are reported anywhere, and they can also check the progress of developmental works. He said efforts are on to provide transparency in the functioning of the Municipal Council and improve the civic amenities of the town.
