Poonch, Mar 30 : The family of a “murdered” man held a protest outside Police Station Mendhar demanding the case be solved at the earliest and strict action against the culprits.
The family of Gulzar Ahmad, a resident of Mankote Tehsil of sub-division Mendhar said: “Three days have passed since the murder of Gulzar, but the case has not been solved nor have the culprits been arrested.”
According to family, Gulzar was found dead on the morning of March 27 in Banloi area.
The police failed to pacify the protesters who were in hundreds. The SDPO and SHO also appealed them to cooperate with police but the protesters were adamant. The family instead accused police of trying to shield the culprits.
Then some local leaders assured the protesters to have faith in the law, and they moved towards the main chowk and blocked the traffic movement for more than an hour. (GNS)
