PULWAMA, Aug 4: A non-local labour was killed while two others were injured when militants hurled a grenade towards them in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that militants hurled a grenade in front of labourers in Gudora-Pulwama, killing one labourer and injuring two others who have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Mumtaz Son of Mohammad Jaloo, a resident of Sakwa Parsa, Bihar and the two injured persons identified as Mohammad Arif son of Mohammad Aziz and Mohammad Majbool son of Mohammad Arif both residents of Rampor, Bihar
An official said both injured persons are stable.
Additional police parties have reached the spot and an operation has been started to nab the attackers, the official told Kashmir Despatch.
