Miscreants Vandalise Tulip Centre in Kokernag, Destroy 80% of Bloom

Date:

Srinagar April 05 : The vandalism at the Center of Excellence for Tulips in Kokernag isn’t just an attack on property—it’s a blow to local pride, tourism potential, and livelihoods tied to it. With 80% of the tulips destroyed, the setback is massive, especially since 50,000 bulbs were carefully planted to promote the region.

Dr. Mantoo’s comments show just how much hope and effort was invested in the project. It’s tragic that an initiative meant to uplift the local economy and showcase the beauty of the region has been targeted like this.

Hopefully, the FIR and investigation lead to some accountability. Incidents like this can really shake community morale, but they also highlight the importance of securing and valuing public assets like these.
