NC will not participate in any electoral process until the restoration of its Special status

LGs are not superman that they will solve complex JK problem: MP Akbar Lone

Srinagar, Aug 8,: Senior National conference (NC) and Member of Parliament Mohammad Akbar Lone on Saturday said that his party will not contest any election till the special status of Jammu and Kashmir is not restored.


While reacting to the resignation of former Lt. Governor (LG) G C Murmu and appointment of Manoj Sinha as the new LG OF Jammu and Kashmir, lone told news agency that it does not make any difference on ground as these governors have failed on delivery front.


He said, “The way Murmu failed miserably, during his tenure, the fate of Sinha will be the same.”


“They are sent here (LGs) with an agenda to woo people to participate in the electoral process, which they will never succeed to do, till the process of diluting the status, through the unconstitutional scrapping of Article 370 and 35 A and bifurcation of the state is not reversed back to its position.” he added.
“Lt. Governors are not Supermen that they will solve the problems of a complex state like Jammu and Kashmir”, he told.

“So far they have failed miserably to handle the situation and solve the problems of common people and they will fail in future too unless the Jammu and Kashmir are not dealt according to the wishes of people, who feel cheated by the unilateral act of center to strip it from the non-reversible special position it enjoyed under the Indian constitution,’ he said.


“Our party will not be a part of any electoral process, till the state is not reverted to its status, which it enjoyed till the 4th of August 2019,” Lone concluded. (KDC)
